The average inspection takes 2-3 hours to complete, depending upon the condition and size of the property. You are highly encouraged to attend the inspection, but it is not mandatory. It's recommended that you attend at least the last 45 minutes of the inspection so you can be shown findings of the inspection first-hand. Extra time will patiently be taken for first-time home buyers, or anyone else, to address concerns or answer additional questions such as explaining basic home functions.
